Andrew J. Schatzinger

Andrew J. Schatzinger, 29, of Tiffin, died at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, September 19, 2010.

Andrew was born June 10, 1981 in Tiffin, to Tim Schatzinger and Kathleen (Gruber) Spriggs both of Tiffin and both survive. He married Candace (Miller) in Tiffin on August 15, 2009 and she survives in Tiffin.

Andrew is survived by his children, Austyn Schatzinger, Nattalie Schatzinger, Brandy Schatzinger and a step-son, Braden Brown all of Tiffin. Andrew is also survived by a step-father, Mike Spriggs, a step-mother, Betty Schatzinger, brother, Aaron (Brenda Hoker) Schatzinger of Tiffin, step-brother, Michael (Julie) Kitchen of Mogadore, step-sisters, Melissa Kitchen of Columbus, and Theresa Spriggs of Fremont. Also surviving where his paternal grandmother, Joyce (Marion) Drake of Tiffin, maternal grandmother, Donna (Clyde) Mason of Findlay, maternal step-grandmother, Jane Gruber of Lakeview, OH. Andrew is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Andrew was the owner/operator of the Stop Shop in Tiffin. He was an avid BMX racer as a kid. Andrew was a 2000 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and loved his children very much.

Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert “Speed” Schatzinger and his maternal grandfather, Lester Gruber.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin with the Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Saturday at Fairmont cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for his children.
